Satsang with Oliver - questions and answers 61-65 |
Oliver, who of the two of us is God? |
As per the concept, whereby all is ONE (Being, the Ocean, Oneness, God), we are both ONE and therefore ONE with God, the same way waves are one with the ocean, even if a wave thinks it is separate from the other waves and from the ocean. Everything that happens in the world of duality is an illusion, that appears to occur IN God, in the time- and spaceless non-dual, and the small identified "I" is trapped by this illusion. Well, this has been the spiritual-philosophic concept for your mind. It can believe it or not: it doesn't matter, as it is not a question here of belief or non-belief. The wave can believe whatever it wants: It is free anyway :-) |

Oliver, you cannot be God. Else wise consciousness would not be aware of itself, if contents of consciousness as the psycho-mental being "Oliver" were self-contained, right? |
I would suggest that you let the content of this non-dualistic webpage work on you. If that is not enough for you to have trust, perhaps you will find fulfilment with other "providers of concepts". The only important point here is that enlightenment does not have to be searched for, but that you are already free exactly in this moment. You are wearing the glasses that you are looking for. But believe me, when I tell you that I understand the hunger of your mind for "Truth". I once passed through the same thing. But some day down the road you will just let go of this hunger, to wake up suddenly in the Land of Plenty that you had, paradoxically, never left. |

But, Oliver, isn't exactly THAT a proof that you must exist as "no-one"? Or else you couldn't answer me because also talking, writing, reading and awakening in the morning are functions of conciousness aren't they? What else? |
You are trying to mix up two dimensions, the dual realm of this apparent universe and the non-dual realm, which I'm pointing to in this website. It is not necessary to first understand "different levels" of the dual realm before you can "rise" to the non-dual one. It is totally irrelevant whether there are any hairs between the fingers of the master's hand pointing to the moon. That has nothing to do with the moon. Of course you are free to imagine that there is Oneness appearing as a "nobody". You can replace "nobody" by any random word that will help you to drop the idea of object and subject, of cause and effect of the dual world of illusions. Your mind clings to this "nobody" as it cannot grasp the fact that, according to my concept, forms simply emerge out of Oneness, that are Oneness themselves. Without any reason. Without any purpose. Without any cause. The mind cannot argue about Oneness, cannot prove it, as it can only divide things, which will lead from Oneness into duality. It is like the singularity before the Big Bang. It can make the mind go crazy in its attempt to understand it. But it is not necessary for the mind to understand in order that liberation may happen. The so-called "understanding" that you are looking for is there when the mind gives up. With that, however, the identified person - thus the thought of separation, which is in fact responsible for your questions - has disappeared. Depending on the concept, what remains is called "no one", "Oneness", "Silence", "Being", "Self" or "All", for example. There exists no expression for it, that would be accepted by the analytic mind. The mind will always want to relate a term to other terms, which leads away from Oneness. Just find out WHO it is that asks these questions (yes, sure, since Ramana Maharshi THE famous Satsang question), or, more simply, allow the one who asks these questions to disappear. |

But, do you mean that I just can go home, backing a cake or reading the newspaper? Is it exactly that? |
Yes exactly. Enjoy. May I get a piece of cake? |
